North America Project Cases
ASENWARE supplies UL-listed fire alarm and suppression equipment to North American projects. Our products comply with NFPA 72, UL 864, and UL 268 standards, enabling our partners to meet AHJ requirements across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility — Houston, Texas, USA
A pharmaceutical active ingredient (API) manufacturing plant in the Houston chemical corridor required explosion-proof fire and gas detection for its solvent processing and storage areas (NEC Class I Division 1 zones). ASENWARE supplied FM-approved explosion-proof detectors, manual call points, and control panels. Clean agent Novec 1230 suppression systems protect the critical synthesis reactors and solvent storage vaults. The installation was conducted in coordination with the AHJ (Harris County Fire Marshal) and was verified to NFPA 72 and NFPA 2001 standards.
Mixed-Use Development — Toronto, Ontario, Canada
A 42-storey mixed-use tower in downtown Toronto combining residential condominiums (floors 10–42) and commercial office space (floors 1–9) was equipped with ASENWARE's FP300 addressable fire alarm system. The high-rise system was designed to Ontario Building Code Division B requirements and NFPA 72. Over 1,400 addressable devices are installed, with a two-stage voice alarm system providing alert tone followed by voice instruction. The system interfaces with elevator recall, stairwell pressurisation, and smoke control dampers throughout the building.
Auto Assembly Plant — Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico
A major automotive assembly facility in Mexico's Bajio region required cost-effective, reliable fire protection across its 120,000 m² production floor, paint shop, weld shop, and logistics areas. ASENWARE supplied CFP2166 conventional fire alarm panels (16-zone) for each building zone, with over 1,800 detectors across the campus. The paint shop required explosion-proof detectors in solvent spray booths, while the weld shop used UV/IR flame detectors for rapid flame detection. CO2 total-flood suppression protects the main electrical switchrooms. All equipment is supplied with Spanish-language documentation.
Data Center — Ashburn, Virginia, USA
A hyperscale data centre campus in Loudoun County, Virginia — one of the world's largest data centre markets — required the highest level of pre-fire detection available. ASENWARE's aspirating smoke detection (ASD) system was deployed across all server halls, detecting smoke at concentrations below 0.005% obs/m. Pre-action dry-pipe sprinkler systems provide a secondary layer of protection. The ASD system triggers air handling unit shutdown and early alert to operators well before any visible smoke develops. The installation meets NFPA 75 (Protection of Information Technology Equipment) and TIA-942 data centre standards.
