Oceania Project Cases
ASENWARE serves the Australian and New Zealand markets through a network of certified fire protection installers and distributors. All products supplied to the region comply with AS 1670 (Fire Detection, Warning, Control and Intercom Systems) and relevant Standards Australia requirements.
Mining Operations Village — Pilbara Region, Western Australia
A fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) worker accommodation village at a major iron ore mine in Western Australia's Pilbara region required durable fire protection capable of withstanding extreme heat (ambient temperatures up to 50°C) and dust. ASENWARE's addressable FP200 system was installed across 28 accommodation blocks, a dining and recreation centre, medical facility, and administration buildings — a total of 320 addressable devices. Weatherproof (IP55) detectors and manual call points were specified throughout external walkways and open-sided recreation areas. The system integrates with the village's site emergency alarm for full site mustering capability. Commissioning was coordinated with the mine's Emergency Response Team and complies with AS 1670.1.
Commercial Office Tower — Auckland CBD, New Zealand
A new 22-floor commercial office tower in Auckland's central business district was equipped with ASENWARE's FP300 addressable fire alarm system and integrated voice alarm. The project required compliance with the New Zealand Building Code clause C — Protection from Fire, and AS/NZS 1668 for smoke management. Over 580 addressable devices are installed, including optical smoke detectors, fixed-temperature heat detectors, and multi-sensor devices in atrium spaces. The voice alarm system provides warden intercommunication (WIC) handsets on each floor and a central fire command facility (FCF) at the ground floor lobby. An evacuation management system delivers pre-recorded and live voice messages to selected zones during emergency events.
Food Processing Facility — Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
A large-scale food processing and cold storage facility in Melbourne's western suburbs required fire protection meeting stringent food safety and AS 1670 requirements. ASENWARE supplied a CFP2166 conventional fire alarm system for the processing areas, with specialist low-temperature rated detectors for the -25°C freezer zones. The system monitors flow switches on the automatic sprinkler system throughout the high-rack cold store. Gaseous suppression protects the high-care processing area control room and the site's main electrical switchroom. The installation was inspected and certified by a FPAA101D-qualified fire protection designer.
